Warta is a town and the residence of the commune in Sieradz district. There are 3,500 citizens, in the whole commune there are 14,500 people on the area of 242 square kilometres.
    The Public Gimnazjum in Warta during the three years of its functioning was the only educational institution of this type in the commune. During the first year 203 students attended the school, in 8 units, in the second 377 in 16, and in the third year 561 in 24 units (classes I - III). In the years 1999 - 2001 the gimnazjum was in one building (unfortunately old one and with many technical problems) together with the primary school. The primary school moved to the new building in 2001 and since this year the gimnazjum is the only host of the building. At the beginning of the school year 2002/2003 the organization change was made, which concerned the exclusion from the gimnazjum structure Long-Distance Unit in Rossoszysca, that was changed into the distinct institution - the private gimnazjum.
     Nowadays there are 494 students in the Public Gimnzjum in Warta in 22 units (8+7+7). 37 teachers are employed, and 33 of them are full-time teachers.The young from the city of Warta and from 43 villages from the area of the commune attended this school. 317 students benefit from being ferried by 5 school buses and by the local buses PKS. The Gimnazjum has got the gimnasjum, the gym, the common room, the canteen, the library i and two computer rooms. There is a nurse who watches over the health of our students and the dentist, they work in their own surgeries in the school building. Three foreign languages are taught according to the alternative systems: English + Russian, English + German.
During the four-year period of functioning the following achievements can be listed:

  • the regional and biological programmme by the Jeziorsko Reservoir concerning the realization of the educational content
    of different school subjects in the open - camping, rally.
  • the common use of multimedia's techniques while teaching.
  • a variety of activities taken by the Students' School government.
  • the realization of the first-rate prevention programme "The Power I find inside me"
    with the evaluational three-day trip to the mountains for every student from the first class.
  • the school was single out for the competition "Europe in school" on the central rank.
  • a variety of school's competitions and parties.
  • the advanced works of maintaining the school's ceremony and tradition.
  • the act of confering the name of the school and the establishing of the banner.
  • the fourth place in the football games in ŁódŸ province.
  • the obtaining of the title of "the quality school".

    • Our plans for the future:

  • the extension of the cooperation and the exchange of the students with Lengerich city,
  • the activation of similar to the Art international interdisciplinary rallies addressed to the young
    organized in school, during the holidays,
  • the extension of extra-curricular lessons for students,
  • the improvement of the technological state of the school building and the better equipment of didactic aids
  • the enrichment of the form of realization of the regional education.
